Re: is there ever a time
Yes, especially b/c we're trying for #3 I often feel like I don't have it in me emotionally to go through it again. It took 8-9 months with DS (I can't remember exactly) and if was very draining.

Re: is there ever a time
We started trying a year ago. In that time, I started fertility treatments, got pregnant on the 3rd IUI cycle, stayed pregnant for 4 1/2 months, and now I'm in my 2nd IUI cycle back in the game. I'm determined and in it to win it.. there's no way I will stop short of meeting my goal.

Yep. Im thinking about taking a break from trying and just not prevent. I cant take it. Im becoming a mad woman in emotional crisis all the time. It doesnt help when Im surrounded by preggos.
Good luck to you!

Re: is there ever a time
YES!! We have been trying since May (seriously TTC since June) so 6 or 7 months It is definitely taking a toll. Last month I thought I was done and needed a break, but here I am again. Somehow we find it in ourselves to keep trying, probably because we want it SO badly. It is so emotionally draining. It will happen, just not as quickly as we would like sometimes.
Good luck Meg, I'm sure you will get your BFP very soon

Re: is there ever a time
Yes I am only on month four but it is definitely taking a toll on my stress level! Last week when I got AF I told DH that I didn't want to do it anymore but after a few days went by I got back into the swing of things. I sure do hope it happens soon though!

Re: is there ever a time
Something I feel like maybe we weren't meant to have children. We have been trying for over 2 years and have had 2 miscarriages. 1 at 14 weeks and 2 unsucessful IUIs. I am not ready to throw in the towel just yet but I think I am almost there. DH is not though and doesn't understand how I feel.

Re: is there ever a time
Yes, I felt this way this past month. AF showed Wed, and I won't be ovulating again for about 4 weeks. I was SO low. But inevitably, a few days after AF shows, I begin looking toward the next cycle. But those first few days....ouch.
I'm sorry for you, and know the disappointment you're feeling. Pamper yourself for now, and hopefully you'll be feelng a bit better soon : )

Re: is there ever a time
Yes. Every single cycle this year. 2010 has completely sucked for us when it comes to TTC. Between failed IUI's, 3 miscarriages, and running out of insurance coverage for IF treatments I pretty much feel like throwing in the towel all the time. I try to keep going but some days are hard, I don't want my DD to be an only child. I love being a mom and I want more children so badly so I know how you feel. It's not always an easy journey when TTC.
