Re: if you had crazy cycles after stopping BCP...
Mine were down to about 30 days by the third cycle, but then started going back up after that. I think because I was exercising a lot more though... although I had to stop running due to a stress fracture for a few months and then they stayed wacky (43-45 days). Very annoying.

Re: if you had crazy cycles after stopping BCP...
Mine never did, if you mean go to 28 days. But I found a pattern in mine. They eventually (after about a 14 months, which was only like 6 cycles) got into a pattern of 59 days then 34 days then 59 days then 34 days.
I actually thought maybe only one side was working or something because of this, but that didn't really make sense either.
Then after 22 months off BC, I had almost three straight cycles that were 34 days each. (the first was 37... so 37, 34, 34... then I got my BFP. But according to the calculations by my doctor at my first sono, it looks like I conceived around CD47 -- which means it was likely going to be a 59 day cycle again. I got my BFP on CD62. (I had a negative BT on CD37 that same cycle.)
I never got regular cycles before going on BCP though. I'm really curious about what's going to happen after the baby is born, but that's not really helpful to you. LMK if I can help somehow? We didn't start TTC until I was off BC for almost 2 years. All the rest of the time, I just kept track in my date book so I'd be ready and armed with as much info as possible if/when I needed to talk to the doctor about my cycles.
