oven roaster bags
A co-worker of mine recommended I use one for my turkey. I told her that I don't want to because I like my turkey crispy. She said that her mother uses it every year and her turkey is crispy. I find this hard to believe. Anyone else use them?

Re: oven roaster bags
after ure done cooking it, you should cut the bag open and let the moisture absorb.. u can also broil it for that final touch.. our host last year used an oven bag

Re: oven roaster bags
cook it in the bag and then for the last 20 minutes or so take it out and broil it so the skin gets crispy

Re: oven roaster bags
how do you fit a giant turkey in a broiler?
i'm sure that's a dumb question, but i've never made a turkey before.

Re: oven roaster bags
A coworker just told me this today.
She said she resisted for years but finally tried it to 3 years ago and will never NOT use it again.
She coats the inside of the bag with flour and puts down a bed of carrots, onions and celery to lay the turkey on inside of the bag. She swears by this method. And FWIW, she's an old-school Italian lady.
