Christmas Day only for me. We have a large group about 26-30 so that is more than enough. 2 years in a row i also did New Years Eve but both in one week is way too much!

Thankfully my parents and ILs love to host, so believe me, I don't mind. They can have the holidays all they want as far as I am concerned. I hate football, but love to host Super Bowl parties! That counts right?Chat Icon

Just Thanksgiving. MIL gets bent out of shape anytime she's not hosting, or if we go to my mom's. Chat Icon She won't even come to my Thanksgiving! The joys of marrying an only child.

i feel the same way!

maybe i can steal one though when the house is done and i have more room, but idk which one i could even take away?!

ETA: This is why my brother started "the Saturday after Thanksgiving" we have a full meal, not leftovers at his house - its awesome and different food (other than turkey) than what we have bc his wife is Hungarian.

I am only hosting Christmas Day for my immediate family- which I normally do not host at all- but since the holiday's have got to be rearranged.. I am going to do something low key .

Maybe a roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and a pie of some kind.
