Re: Goodies for Thanksgiving

this is pretty much the recipe i use; i sometimes melt the chips first (and add more) so they don't clump.

CHOCOLATE CHIP - PECAN PIE

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup (Karo)
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 (9 inch) pie shells

Melt butter. Mix sugar, syrup, and eggs in bowl. Add butter, vanilla, chocolate chips and pecans. Mix well. Pour into two pie shells or 1 deep dish pie shell. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. May be frozen.

Re: Goodies for Thanksgiving

I'm making cookies. Have to figure out what kind.

IDK what else will be for dessert, probably cake and pizza crumb.

DH's family doesn't like pumpkin or apple pie. Chat Icon

Re: Goodies for Thanksgiving

Think I'm being lazy this Thanksgiving and doing PW's cookie dough and candy cookies.

We're going to my aunt's where there's usually a whole pie per person! I don't want to go overboard if most of it won't get eaten.
