Tell me about Clomid!
When do you start taking it in your cycle? For how long?
Side effects?
What is it used to treat?

Re: Tell me about Clomid!
I took 100mg of Clomid for cd 3-7. I do not ovulate on my own so I was given this to produce multiple follicles. I was then given a HcG trigger shot on CD 13 to force ovulation. We did timed .
As for side effects I had hot flashes and a I was a little bit more emotional than normal.

Re: Tell me about Clomid!
Hi,
Most women take clomid bc they do not ovulate on their own. I started clomid because although I do generally ovulate on my own my periods are very irregular. I used to take BC to keep my AF regular. Now, the clomid performs that function. With the clomid I have a 30 day cycle, without it I have anywhere from a 45-55 day cycle. DH and I were working with a small window of time to get pregnant, in an effort to have a summer baby (I am a teacher). Without the clomid, I would have ridiculously long cycles hence limiting the number of tries we get.
I take clomid CD 5-9, 50 mg.
I generally have no real side effects. I guess mayb a little moody. I did gain a little weight. However, I think that may have just been me over eating because I was upset at BFN's. I do not think it was necessarily the clomid.
I hope this helps.
A

Re: Tell me about Clomid!
i took clomid 50mg for anovulation due to PCOS. it did nothing for me at all and we moved right on to injectable meds.
i took it CD4-8 but it doesnt really matter which days as long as you start it within the first 5 days of the cycle.
it has some pretty nasty long term side effects like thinning of the uterine lining and lessening the amount of CM. many doctors don't let you do more than a certain amount of clomid cycles in a lifetime due to it's effects on uterine lining. the other minor side effects include things like headaches and night sweats.

Re: Tell me about Clomid!
Days 5-9 of my cycle. Never had side effects however, I take it before bed because it minimizes side effects. It helps mature your eggs, it can produce multiple eggs, and it can also help lengthen a LP defect. You're limited to a lifetime max of 12 cycles because over time it thins the lining of your uterus and be aware that it usually will dry up all of your CM.
