im so sorry this happened to you! i know exactly what you are going thru...i too had a chemical in september.
my doctor recommended next time not to take a pregnancy test until you are at least a week late...because this happends a lot and it will prevent your self from being heartbroken after finding out you were pregnant only to have it taken away soo soon!!!
just to give you hope, i had a chemical in september and i got my bfp the very next montH! so far so good so dont be discouraged!! we heard the heart beat on monday!!
try to stay positive! i did a lot of praying! its hard because its still a loss even tho its so early!
you can get thru this!!

im sorry you are going through this.
as someone who has had 2 chemicals i wont sugar coat it. chemicals CAN be fluke. but they arent always chromosomal. a chromosomal m/c tends to happen later in the pregnancy.
a chemical m/c happens during implantation. it CAN be caused by thrombophilia (blood clotting issues) or immune issues where youre body fights the embryo. chemicals that occur more than once are generally from thrombo or immune. they are easily treatable, but you can't just write them off as your period being a few days late as they can be signs of other issues.
also, theres no reason to test your urine for HCG. bloodwork is so much more efficient although if you already got AF chances are your beta is 0 or low anyway.
im not saying all of this to worry you. i was seeing an RE when i had my first chemical and we still didnt do anything different until after the second one. im just saying that just because it doesnt always feel like a "real" miscarriage, dont discount them and dont let ob/gyns discount them. hopefully you'll go on to get a second BFP and it will stick and you wont ever have to worry about this stuff!!

im sorry, i dont mean to stir the pot but this is BAD advice from a doctor. knowing you are having chemicals can only help you to get treatment for it. not knowing is not going to help solve the problem.

i agree...i would take hpts if a day or two late...bc if you are getting recurrent chemicals its good to know....to treat it if possible.
but again so sorry!!!!!!
