Cruise Excursion Help...

I am so torn up about this. We can start booking our excursions now and it got me thinking about what we were originally going to do.

I won a Dolphin Encounters Tour for DH and I in the Bahamas. We did this at this exact place on our HM. It is private. They pick us up privately, encounter with the Dolphins and meet the Sea Lions privately.

DH, the kids and I were going to go do this and then meet up with the rest of the family later.

We planned on taking DS to the Pirate Museum and then walk around town after the encounter.

We are there from 7-6.

I am exhausted just thinking about all this!!!!

I feel bad because we won the excursion but I really think I would rather just get a Beach Pass at the Atlantis with my family and then take DS to the Museum before we go back to the ship. This way he can see all the fish, sharks, and play at the beach.

I already have done the Dolphin thing a few times and have swam with the Sea Lions. And I DS really doesn't like the water at all.

Sorry this is long but any advice?

Re: Cruise Excursion Help...

We've done long excursions like this and honestly it's worth it. It's just one day, you know? If you don't want to do it, can you sell it?

Re: Cruise Excursion Help...

Personally, I'd go for the swimming with the dolphins. How old is DS? Is the museum interactive? If not, then definitely go with the dolphins. I'm sure a lot of it is feeding them or interacting with them in hip deep water so it's not like he actually has to swim. If I were a kid (actually even as an adult Chat Icon), I'd definitely want to do to hands on activity more than I'd want to go to a museum, pirates or no pirates. Chat Icon

I would do it too! It is def something different! THe atlantc beach pass is just that you pay to go sit on their beach! I thought it was a waste of money! I would have rather done more for my money! You can go to the beach anywhere or sit by the pool when you return to get the same feel!

Thank you all for your help! We talked to our DS again and he in no way wants to go with the Dolphins. He is scared.

We decided to get the day pass for the Atlantis and take him to see all the fish and the poolsChat Icon Chat Icon

Can you try to sell your passes on ebay for the dolphin encounter? This is in the Bahamas, correct? I would have bought them from you if they were at one of our stops on our cruise. Bahamas not one of the places this time.
