OPK confusion
So, I've been using the Dollar Tree OPKs. This cycle has been unusually long--I'm on CD 30 (I do have a hystery of long cycles). Friday, the test line appeared darker than usual, and yesterday it was darker still, but still not as dark as or darker than the control line. I thought I would probably O today. On today's test....nothing. No line at all. WTH???
Any ideas? TIA.

Re: OPK confusion
you dont have to keep testing once you get a line that matches the control line... the LH surge doesnt last that long, it only tells you that you are going to O in the next 12-36hrs...
i wouldnt worry about it... as long as you have been

Re: OPK confusion
If the line was never as dark or darker than it was never positive. But the problem with the line tests is they can soemtimes be misleading. A positive OPK could look negative and vice versa. I would just keep every other day until the end of this cycle and then buy digital OPK for next cycle if you don't get a bfp. You can still use the $ tree OPK's to save $ until you think it may be positive and then just confirm with a digital.
Good luck!

Re: OPK confusion
Thanks, that's good advice. I'm hoping it was the test and not me. I'm nervous for some reason I just didn't ovulate.
Thanks again!

Re: OPK confusion
Also given the time you tested, you technically could have missed your prime O time. I read that sometimes people test (OPK) 2x a day (1ish & then again 7-8pmish).
I'm having issues w/ my OPK from Dollar Tree as well. I know I always O on CD14 & the last 2 days tested & got lines but not as dark as C line. I (obviously) haven't tested today yet (CD14) but would have thought to get my positive :) by now.

Hmmm...well maybe there's hope for me then! I really hope I O'd! Although I usually have EWCM, and didn't notice anything. Ugh! Good luck to you and keep us posted!
