OTC Prenatals
I have been on Rx Prenatals since I was pregnant and then BFing. I don't fee like spending the $$ on them anymore since I am neither of the aforementioned. Can you recommend a good OTC prenatal that has a stool softener in it and does not constipate? I remember going through a bunch when I was TTC #1 and most would make me constipated and gassy. I love my Citranal Assure, it is just too pricey right now. TIA

Re: OTC Prenatals
i have the CVS brand...this is my 2nd week taking them and i havent noticed anything different. They had a buy 1 get 1 free sale - that was the only reason i tried these.

Re: OTC Prenatals
My dr said the CVS prenatals are one of the better ones out there. Not sure if it has a stool softener though.

Re: OTC Prenatals
I use Rainbow Light Organic Prenatals they are made from all food/plant based and never gave me any tummy trouble at all. As a plus they have real ginger in them, in fact I think they curbed any naseous since I never felt that while taking them. I buy them online though, I'm sure you can probably find them at healthfood store but online is where I found the best price, mothernature.com has a service where they send you your monthly refill to your door:)

I used to use this brand's multi vitamin! Good call! I will see if my health food store has them.

Hey C, I just checked for them on Amazon, which one do you use:
Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal System
or Rainbow Light Prenatal One?

Re: OTC Prenatals
Just take a look at how the Vitamin A is broken down in Rainbow Light.. I think it has Palmitate in it.. and I think you need 100% Beta Carotene

Rainbow light prenatals. My OB recommended them when I was BFing and didn't want to take the Rx prenatals anymore.

Re: OTC Prenatals
Shelly,
I take the Costco Stool softner AND I also use Benifiber.
Since using both, well, everything comes out ok.
But for me, the benefiber is the key!
