dr appt tomorrow
hi ladies,
so i am still in limbo this cycle. I am on CD 53 with no AF and no bfp. I made a dr appt for tomorrow morning to try and see what is going on.
I want to ask about the possibility of cysts or PCOS. How do they check for this? Blood tests?
anything else I should ask? any advice would be greatly appreciated...I really wanna figure out why this cycle is never-ending!

PCOS is typically diagnosed through bloodwork. There are a lot of things that they somewhat "lump" into PCOS. Many women have very different symptoms and hormonal levels, but the doctor will be able to tell you. Cysts can be diagnosed via sonogram.

I just had testing for this to be done. They do bloodwork. They test certain hormone levels as well as glucose and insulin resistance.
You have to fast before the blood test.

The fasting starts 11pm the night before, but since he didn't tell you about that then I'm assuming he has no plans of testing you for it tomorrow. I had to go to a Quest to be tested....

i had my testing for it through bloodwork and lucky me i have it..i have not had my period since sept 14th..they gave me a scrip for provera to bring my period on but waiting to use it..
i never thought i would want a reg cycle every 28 days so bad

sorry! i have a funny feeling that i have pcos too. as much as i don't want it...if i do have it at least i will know and can then go from there....
my last period was sept 9th so i def know your frustration! I hate that my cycles haven't been normal
