How many pies for the adults. There will be approx. 23 kids atending. Last time I had 8 pies and got stuck with 4. I cant imagine how they all didnt go. Shouldnt it be 2 slices per adult?

One slice per adult and a few extra slices. Most adults do not go back for seconds at a kids party. Some people will not eat at all and some will carpool.

So in your case I would say 3-4 pies.

I agree. at a kiddie party...most adults will just grab 1 quick slice.

Just get 1 slice per adult. I have always over-ordered. This is my new policy.

Ok, then I am thinking 5 since some people will be there with 2 parents.

What time is the party? I know that for me, if I am staying at the party, I ALWAYS eat beforehand. Sometimes people do not offer food to the adults. I think 4 or 5 is safe.

I have always figured 2 slices per person.

I would say 5 pies. If you have one left over, you can take it home and freeze it for another time.

I just had my son's party and they said 1 slice per person was good. I got 3 pies for the adults and I had 25 kids with parents. I thought for sure it wasn't enough, but everyone who wanted a piece had one and a few had seconds. There was actually 4 slices left over, I couldn't believe it! :)

At 2pm, most adults won't eat that much. DS went to a party over the weekend, and it was from 1:45-3:30, and I only had one slice, and I think most other parents did, too. If it's spanning a meal, you can expect people to eat more. If the party was from 11-1, I would have had two slices most likely.
