TG Turkey...
when do you buy it? You have to be able to keep it in freezer for a while, guess i will have to make room.
This will be the first time I am cooking for Thanksgiving!

Some stores offer free turkeys if you spend $X amount.
Frozen turkeys take a LONG time to defrost. FYI - I'd leave 2-3 days to defrost depending on size.

I buy one just a few days before. I buy it fresh though (not frozen); and leave it in fridge till the morning of.

I usually get it when I can get it for free. Leave it in the freezer until about 5-6 days before T-Day (if it's a big bird) and then put it in the fridge.
We deep fry the turkey.
