Sorry, one more question...
Can you tell my house is under construction almost in every room.
I am going to have a step down kitchen (10x10) and attached a small dining area or room (whatever you want to call it) anyway...I would like to put a fan with a light up, but I also want to put up a nice fixture in the dining area what would you do? Where to put the fan, in the kitchen or dining area.

We have a fan in the kitchen but it's a bit of an inconvenience with a gas stove. It tends to blow out the burners so I have to be very careful. Just something to consider.

I honestly wouldn't put a fan in either...it would get all greasy in the kitchen and a nice fixture would look much better in the dining. But if you have to have a fan, I would do the kitchen.
