don't post too often . . .

but i do tend to lurk time to time. This was the first month DH and I made the extra effort to TTC. The last 2 months was kind of it it happens it happens. So we BD on CD 7, 11, 13, 15, 18, 19 and 21. Got a Chat Icon on 18 PM and 19 AM. I am home alone and so tempted to go out and buy a test. I'm currently at CD 25. Any thoughts??

I have a bachelorette party this weekend, so I want to know if I shouldn't drink AT ALL. Should I wait?? HELP!

How long are your cycles usually? If it makes you more comfortable to test before the bachelorette party I would test the morning of it to see.

You can drink. Even if you are pregnant, you're not sharing with the baby this early. I wouldn't go crazy, but a drink or two isn't going to harm anyone. If you're thinking of getting blitzed, though, I'd test first. Dehydration and alcohol poisoning wouldn't be good, PG or not!

i dont think you are far enough past ovulation to get a reliable result from an HPT. i wouldnt drink if i were you, JMO, but ive been TTC for a really long time so its a little different.

ITA!! I wouldn't drink also but that is just me. When I research things online it says not to drink when trying to conceive in the 2ww period. I know it is ok to and not go overboard but I feel that if I didn't get a BFP and af showed up I myself would blame it on me drinking..lol

Thanks girls!! I'm so confused. I'm going to be with a lot of family all weekend, and I haven't let on that we are TTC. If I'm not drinking they are going to think somethings up. And DH and I have agreed on waiting till at least 3 months to start letting people know when the time comes . . .

Definitely too early to test you're only 6 or 7 dpo, implantation doesn't happen until about 7-10dpo and even after implantation it takes a couple days for there to be enough hcg in your urine to be detectable by an hpt.

As far as drinking you don't actually share a bloodstream with the baby until after 6 weeks. But I don't think getting wasted during the tww is a good idea either. A couple of drinks should be ok though.

Good luck!
