OPK question
I have been temping since I went off BC last December just to get an idea of how my cycles would be since I was on BC for years. We didnt officially start trying yet but I was wondering about OPK. When are you supposed to start using them, the week you think you are supposed to O? When you get the does that mean you O'd or that it is going to happen within the next few days?
thanks.

Re: OPK question
when you get the OPKs there are instructions in the package on when to start testing based on your cycle lenght. if you are a normal 28 day cycle i believe you start at cd10.
one you get the smiley they say you are supposed to O 12-36 (or sometimes 48) hours later. Its best to BD the day u get the smiley and the next 2 days after.

Re: OPK question
My cycles are 28 days long give or take a day. I start testing with OPK at CD10 (cycle day 10) because I typically ovulate CD14. It depends on how long your cycle is and there should be a chart that comes with the OPK that gives you an idea of when to start. Your cycles start the first day of your period. When you get your smiley or a positive OPK you are suppose to ovulate in 12-48 hours so you the day of the smiley and 2-3 days after.

Re: OPK question
Thanks for the info...my typical cycle has been between 31 and 32 days and looks like I typically O on CD15-20 according to my temp chart. what OPK do you recommend?

Re: OPK question
I use Clear Blue Easy digital. I like seeing the smiley because it is easy to read. I don't want to have to figure out if the line is darker than the other line. I would get too stressed.
