X ray at 5 DPO?

Ive been having problems with my hip (running injury) for the past 2 months and have doctor's appointment with a specialist this afternoon. On the phone they mentioned that they may want to do an x-ray. I am currently in the 2WW, at 5 DPO. Is it safe for me to get an x-ray?

hmm, if you are ttc , i would not.
i would def call the office first and speak with the doctor.. he/she might say it would be ok but i would be a little skeptical.

Thanks ladies. Im going to keep the appointment regardless because it took me awhile to get in with this doctor, but I will definitely fill him in on the situation and see what he says. If there is any question, I will refuse the x-ray...was just wondering if anyone had been in a similar position before. Appreciate the responses!

I was in this situation last month. I let them know the deal and they recommended I do the xray anyway. They put a vest on both sides of me, which they may not be able to do with your hip?? After that they wanted to do a catscan but had to wait on that until I knew I wasn't pregnant.

They will not take an xray if there is a chance you are PG. I just had an HSG done which is an xray and they tell you not even to have sex until after the xray cause they wont do it if there is a chance you can be PG.
