Cycle
Sorry if this is TMI - this is my first post on here but Im curious and a bit concerned.
I have always had a problem with my cycle. I have been on BC for years to regulate it. In Jan 2010 I stopped taking it. I wanted to be ready for when we start TTC ... well, I havent had a cycle since. I feel like Im in full PMS mode sometimes but it doesnt come. I have to make an appt with my gyn (but Im in the middle of trying to find a new one - im not happy with my current one) ..
Has anyone else had problems similar?
Thanks!

I have silimar problems. I was on BC to regulate it but I have been off of it for about 3 years now. I still miss months however for Aug and Sept I got AF. I'm not sure if I willl get AF this mont though praying I don't since we're ttc.
I would def find a new gyn just to make sure there are no other problems which can be causing this.
I used opk's last month and did find I was ovulating. I really had no clue otherwise if I was or wasn't.

Re: Cycle
Maybe I should take an OPK just to see? Can you take that at any time? I know absolutely nothing about that test. How does that work?
Thanks!

Re: Cycle
so you haven't had your period since january? I would definitely go to a dr. because they can give you meds to start your period again. I could be wrong but if you aren't getting your period I don't think you would be ovulating so OPKs probably won't help. I would start with getting to a dr as your first step. Good luck!!

Re: Cycle
I went off BC after 11 years in February 2008 and after not getting my period for 89 days my gyn gave me pills to kick-start it. He really didn't want me going more than 90 days without a cycle. Have you spoken to your doctor yet? I think that's the best place to go for advice. I don't think doing an OPK at this point would help. Clearing the lining and seeing if next cycle comes on in a more reasonable amount of time makes more sense. My second cycle after that was 85 days. After that, they started coming every 59 days or so, then switching between 34 and 59 days. No doctor seemed concerned once I started getting my period on my own (although I wasn't TTC then).
Wishing you the best!

Re: Cycle
i just stopped bcps last month and i am waiting to see if AF comes...before bcps i was regular so being over 10 days late is strange for me.
since you havent had a period since Jan i would def find a new dr and go get it checked out.
