Weird Question about DR visit
so if you go see you OBGYN for a check up in you are in your 2WW and you happen to be PG but do not know yet and it's too early to show up on a HPT can your visit do any harm? Like, lets say you get a pap smear done? Also, can they tell that early at the office w/o any blood work if you are PG ?

not a bad question at all. I was thinking the same ting a few months ago. I had a mc because it was an etopic pregnancy. anyway I went to get a pap during my 2ww and it came back negative when they checked me (urine test) but two days later BFP. I called nervous about the pap i had gotten a few days earlier and because I wanted to know why it was negative a few days earlier. my doctor said that the pap smear does not effect the pregnancy... he said it was kind of like BDing, it soesn't do any harm while pregnant. He also said it showed up negative because the tests in the doctors office aren't any stronger then a early detection test.

Just want to let you know that at your first OB visit they give you a pap anyhow. So I can't see it being harmful. They gave me a pap at 4 weeks. No issues what so ever!

Also I don't think they can tell that early without blood work.

Good to know because I was worried about the first visit when I read they do a pap smear. I always thought they didn't.
