yet another going off BCP question/vent
I gained 6 pounds this weekend!!!!? and this happened last month, about 2 weeks before AF came.
How is that even possible?? I feel like the size of a mack truck.
I never had any pms symptoms when i was on BCP. this is horrible!!!
im thinking its water weight gain- has anyone ever taken those water pills to counteract it?

are you sure you gained that much weight? I'm asking bc I'm going through the same thing and I wonder if maybe it really is going off BCP even though some people say you don't gain weight when you go off, you're supposed to lose weight.
seriously i had to go to the store yesterday to buy new pants for work. I put my pants on on friday and they split right up the inseam. it was the most horrifying thing i've gone through in a while.
i weighed 121.5 on my wedding day, not even 5 mos. ago. As of Friday I weighed 139.5. Most i've weighed in my life. Ever. it is seriously out of control and I don't know what to do. i mean i know what to do, but i am afraid nothing is going to work.
what BCP were you on?
sorry i'm rambling, this post just completely hit home with me, with what i'm going through right now. I understand how you feel, 100000000%.

i have gained about 20 lbs since going off BCP a few months ago. I think that is a big part of the weight gain...although part of it is just not working out and eating as healthy as i was.

At the wedding, i weighed 129. When I returned from the honeymoon, I weighed the same as i do now- 136. After the honeymoon, I went back down to about 130, 131 and I have maintained that since a few days ago. The only time I went back up was right before AF came, and I didnt even know if it was due to that. I've been so irregular since going off BCP (which i stopped taking after the HM). I am hoping that its because AF is coming in a week or so and that's why I gained it. Honestly looking at the scale like that is horrifying...
Have you gone up and down or are you increasingly gaining more weight? What's changed since the wedding? No gym, late hours, bad eating or is it medical?
I am trying to be really conscientious about what I eat but seriously, I ate a donut this weekend. Is that why I gained 6 lbs? What the eff?!?!! Im so sorry you're going thru this too, but i definitely feel you.

nah, i'm increasingly gaining more weight. i went off bcp right after the HM too. haven't been going to the gym as much, not watching what i eat as much. it's not my thyroid - that was the first thing i had checked. i also quit smoking back on 8/15. i'm sure it's all these things combined, all happening at once. i know i can control what i eat, but ive just been inexplicably hungry. like more hungry than i've ever been. and tired. which, with the hours i work, makes it so much more difficult to go to the gym.
it def sounds like ur experiencing more of a water weight issue.

THANK YOU LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you are going through this but I thought I was the only one!!!! I have no idea whether its water weight or not but my a$$ has grown at least 2 sizes since my July wedding. Now I'm not gonna lie I went INSANE once I no longer had to worry about fitting into that #%*@%^Q(#%#%^*@^&*@ dress!!! I stopped BCP 1 month ago and think I doubled what I gained. I refuse to get on a scale (have always had a bit of an eating & scale "issues" ) so its best for me to go by how the clothes fit. Yeah.....nothing fits!!!!!!!!! I dont know what is going on here but I am taking water pills and trying to control the ravenous animal that I have become. You would honesty think i had just been through a fathom!!!!

i think that maybe after the wedding, its been a huge adjustment, mentally and physically. i believe/ hope that we will all stabilize soon.
or hopefully just become PG then we have a good excuse to not fit into our clothes.

it might not have anything to do with going off BCP and more to do with post-wedding weight gain. I don't know anyone who doesn't gain some weight once the wedding stress is over with.
i lost about 4-5 lbs when coming off BC, but had gained about 10 since my wedding 2.5 years ago.
