ahhh about those stretch marks.....
What works?? What should I do before hand? Does anything work or are we pre-destined to get them in our genes....

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
Truthfully- I did EVERYTHING- and nothing worked...
Ive heard the gene thing- and it makes sense in my case...
I say moisturize as much as possible- but if your destined to get em' your destined to get em'

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
Ive been using tummy honey butter and it works wonders- I am using it on my existing stretch marks on my hips pre-PG and they are helping them remarkably- they are getting lighter!!

The honey butter, do you feel it prevents them or just allows them to go away sooner. I am 28 weeks, it is still early haven't seen any yet, hopefully they will stay away !

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
I put on olive oil, massage oil, tummy butter, etc. Nothing worked because at 32 weeks I started to get them. My mom had them, it was in my genes. However, I will be getting them removed (via laser) after I am done having kids. I will also try stri-vectin when I am done BF'ing.

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
I kept pretty moisturized with cocoa butter, and didn't get any stretch marks (at this point, 40.5 weeks, I think they'd be here by now)

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
I was using cocoa butter everyday and thought i was in the clear with no stretch marks, and i wound up getting them in my 40th week. I was so upset i thought i was home free. Now im using mederma scar cream and its making them lighter already, its been 5 weeks since DD was born.

Re: ahhh about those stretch marks.....
I think it's predetermined in your genes...I didn't lotion religiously like I should have and I didn't get any on my belly, but my arse is a different story
They do fade

Preventing, I am prone to stretch marks. I use it everyother day on my belly. On my existing ones like on my hips I put it on there and it is fading them! It also worked on my new stretch marks on my boobs. HTH.
