Re: recent BFP's Q?

im not a "recent" BFP (may but it ended shortly after), anyway at 8DPO you may not have even implanted yet. so you dont need to be obsessing over symptoms, it will just drive you crazy, theres no reason at 8DPO to assume you are in or out. implantation bleeding is actually not as common as these boards make it seem.

many people on these boards swear by "symptoms." i will tell you there are really no consistent symptoms. the cycle i got a BFP i had all sorts of "symptoms." like i knew i was going to get a positive test. and i did. the next cycle i had the same symptoms and again thought i would get a BFP. it was BFN. the symptoms were identical. i dont think there are any reliable early pregnancy symptoms, people just like to think there are and when they get their BFPs they swear by it.

just let it be and dont test before 12DPO. whatevers going to happen is going to happen. good luck - thats what getting pregnant is - its mainly luck!

Re: recent BFP's Q?

I didn't get any cramps (AF-like cramps) until the day I was due to get my period.. And I have had mild cramping since then.

Re: recent BFP's Q?

I did NOT have implantation bleeding or cramps before I got my BFP ... it's different for everyone though.. some people do.

My biggest symptom was fatigue. I don't think I was ever that tired.. EVER Chat Icon Chat Icon In the 2ww I almost fell asleep with my family and DH at the Outback. I also had CM during the 2ww that cycle, which is not something I had previous cycles.. but again.. everyone is different. Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: recent BFP's Q?

I did not have any implantation bleeding although at 6dpo... I did had these little twinges and light cramping... very light.
at 9po and 10dpo i had some heavier cramping. 10dpo I got my very faint positive so i took a digital, and just for fun took one today 12dpo and it was much clearer.

I agree 100% with Flowerwife. I have never had a BFP but I can tell you that within the past 14 months I have convinced myself that everything short of my stubbing my toe was a pregnancy symptom. I have never been so in tune to my body and after a while I realized that just because you want symptoms to be there, doesn't mean that they are. It is what it is. You are either pregnant or you are not, and sooner or later you will know for sure, symptoms or not.

I'm sorry if that sounds blunt and unhelpful, but I know what it's like to torture yourself each and every month and compare what your feeling to others experiences, but like PPers have said, everyone is different. Some ladies will tell you how shocked they were at their BFP, and others will tell you they knew the moment of conception.

Bottom line, lack of symptoms doesn't mean you are out. Hang in there and just pray for the strength to get throught the 2ww. What will be, will be. I hope you get to see for yourself real soon Chat Icon

I agree! I think if we all understood that most symptoms don't happen until AF is missed, then we'd have a much more relaxed 2WW! I hope I don't analyze every symptom like I normally do, it has never meant anything for me anyway...

HTH!

well said! It is very hard in the 2ww to not analyze everything and think about it constantly but trying to keep busy helps!

Re: recent BFP's Q?

I'm seven months pregnant, so I don't know if I qualify as a "recent" BFP... but no, I had no bleeding or spotting. I was convinced I was out and had a few glasses of wine with dinner - and then got a BFP on April Fool's Day. It's not over till it's over!

i needed to be pulled back to reality lol im happy to hear that some of you had these symptoms and some didnt! I never knew about any of this stuff until I read about them on here, so I was convincing myself that it was a definite sign.
i am definitely going to just try and relax during the rest of this 2WW- thanks girls

Re: recent BFP's Q?

I got a BFP a few weeks ago.

There was no spotting, cramping or implantation bleeding at all. I remember reading that majority of women do not have implantation bleeding at all.

PMS and pregnancy symptoms go hand in hand together. Everything you feel before your period, is the same things you feel before you get a BFP. So I'm sure it can be hard to not over analyze things.

DH and I were not TTC at all, this was a surprise...so I wasn't looking for any signs. But before I got my BFP I noticed I was very tired and my boobs started to hurt. (Which they never did before AF.)

But these were all signs that started showing up AFTER my period was due. I have long irregular cycles, and when I realized it was a little later than normal, I thought I should test.

I would have just thought I was having weird new PMS symptoms, had I not tested.

Good luck to you all. Try your best to hold out on POAS before your missed periods!
