just wondering how everyone was doing
I''m loving it! The first 3 days were rough and I had headaches and was a little crankier than usual. But it's been 4 weeks now and I feel great! I feel like I'm more in control of what I'm eating and I'm still eating plenty of food to keep myself satisfied.
And I've lost 9.5 pounds, so that helps too

In the beginning I felt like I was starving. I had to add a small amount of carbs in because I was getting shaky almost like my sugar was too low. Not sure what I am doing wrong?
If you feel that hungry, make sure you are getting enough fat- that is what makes you full!
The first week is tough and its pretty normal to "detox" and have flu like symptoms, but once you get through that you will have tons of energy and feel great!!!

Re: Low-carb/no-carb meal ideas?
I have several SB cookbooks and we modify a lot of other recipes to make them low carb. I also discovered lavash bread (I think Joseph's makes it). There's a flax and oat one, which is low in carbs and high in fiber.
One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast is greek yogurt with 3/4 cup of strawberries and 2 tbsp of baked sliced almonds. For lunch, I tend to have salad or a sandwich on lavash bread. For dinner, we eat chili, grilled meat with veggies, different kinds of burgers, salads, fish, etc. We're always trying new things so it really doesn't get boring. I went on SB for my wedding, but cheated a lot. This time, I really feel like it's a lifestyle change.
I started SB at the end of May. I started exercising a few times per week in mid-June and really picked it up by August. I've lost 30 lbs so far.

this isn't too healthy, but I love chicken cutlets, with parm cheese instead of bread crumbs.
chicken - dip in egg - dip in parm cheese - fry with a little EVOO
