Autimnune desease and allergic type reactions
Does any one else get something that mimics and allergic reaction if you have any type of autoimmune issues. I am on prednisone and had a mild one last night-r B upped my pred to 20 MG 2 times a day-heres come shamu...just wondering if any one else has had these reactions?

i know dr. b has stuff on his site about allergies and immune issues. can you elaborate?

Basically what happens to me would be the same thing a person allergic to peanuts would have...i swell thorught swells, hives, vomit, diareahh...last night not bad at all just itching and diareah for about 10 minutes..took an extra prednisone...last time i had severe pain in my uterus, thank god not this time...im so worried now...but it was mild...dr b rules-emailed me about it all night!!!

YES YES YESSSSS - i'm sorry, i lurk on here (to cheer on some friends) and saw this, so I had to comment.
omg, some of us DO exist, and I've been searching for help for 2.5 years. It didn't effect conception/pregnancy for me - in fact, my symptoms disappeared the entire length of my pregnancy.

this best describes my issue. I have chronic hives as my #1 symptom. A high dosage of daily antihistamines help a little, but its no cure.
I've seen several allergist/immunologists, but no one has given me a diagnosis OR a med that helps without hindering daily function (like driving). At one point, I was taking 12 benadryl a day. I was CONSTANTLY tired. Prednisone put nearly 30 lbs of fluid on me.  There's a whole section of 2008 that I barely remember - I feel like I was in a dream.
I'm taking 3 zyrtec daily now (at night, bc it makes me so tired) and that's been keeping the outbreaks at bay.
I'm really considering calling Dr B just to see if he knows anything or can help me in any way.

But mine may be a lottle different...it comes on out of nowhere and i RUN to the bathroom, at that poit the palpatations start, vomit diareah, I shake and almost pass out, i see stars, the one this wekeend was maybe 10 percent as bad as the other but im on a low dose pred that he upped.
Did you lose the weight when you stopped taking it?
Ug-This sucks...lol
The hives are torturous itchy...its crazy...well its nice to know im not crazy, i was starting to thing it was mental...lol
Did you have immune testing?
