How I Met Your Mother
Not sure if any of you watch the show on CBS on Mondays, but my DH love it and just finally watched the season premiere on our DVR. Lily and Marshall are TTCing and it was cute to see how they are handling the situation...watch it! I think you guys could definitely relate

hahaha we actually watched it last night (we had dvr'd it) and i said to DH "u know actually marshall shouldn't be holding it in for that long"
he just looked at me like i was nuts lol

I said the same thing! And I was annoyed that Lily said she was taking her temperature every hour. You only temp once a day!! I get so aggravated when movies/shows talk about TTC or fertility treatments and use inaccurate info!

I didn't watch the show but I agree about tv shows depicting these things so inaccurately 
Ever see the movie A Smile Like Yours? Now THAT'S a laugh!  It's totally inaccurate, I don't know who comes up with these things!!

Yes!! DH is like why do you only take yours first thing in the morning?
I've never even done temping and I was annoyed at this!
Overall I thought the show was cute though. Just wish babies weren't a part of every show I watch sometimes!

i love this show and watch it religiously.
i have to say this episode was hard to watch. however i dont think it was terribly inaccurate the way it depicted TTC. obv they are going to dramatize it a little (ie temp every hour and Marshalls situation  ) but thats the point of TV, otherwise it would be boring.
what made it hard to watch for me was how terrificly happy and excited they were to TTC in their first month. how full of hope. ive been on this road for 18 months now and theres not a shred of innocence left in my TTC experience, especially now that im on to IVF. it just made me miss the small timeframe i had at the beginning of utter hope and possibility that it will work right away  ...
btw did anyone else catch the possible foreshadowing of her having issues with TTC??? i almost hope they go that route instead of the "pregnant on the first try" route that TV usually takes...

I was so happy, well not happy, but you know what I mean, when they weren't able to get pregnant on the first try. It just makes it a little more realistic. It was funny about not telling people you're TTCing too. I hate when people ask!
