Working and IVF with Dr. B

So after a nice summer of relaxation and doing IVF while not working, getting a negative result Im back to work and doing IVF. I work as a Nanny/Babysitter for two kids and I love them. Both parents are teachers and they live in Hewlett and dont get home till almost 4. It's hard for me to take the kids to see Dr. B since one is 16months and the other is 4 and in pre-k till noon. I have an appointment with Dr. B tomorrow at 4:15, it is day 5 of my cycle and I have been on lupron for over 15 days. The problem is I know Im going to be late for my appointment and Im doubting whether to do IVF and work. I know it is what I have to do and the family I work for knew my situation before hiring me. I just feel guilty being late to Dr. B. The receptionist told me to call and say how late I would be and since this is my second IVF with Dr. B I know that I can end up waiting anyway. It is only going to be a problem on Wednesdays however it hasn't even been a full week of school/ work yet. How does everyone do it? How do you find the time to see him? Im hoping this IVF works since I will be so distracted.
Sorry this is so long. Thanks!

When i made 4pm apts. i never saw him till 5ish anyway. You will wait regardless. I would just make the apt for 445 and get there before 5. Good Luck !!Chat Icon

The latest appointment I ever had with him was at 4 and I think that is the last appointment that they book. Of course if you talk to them and explain your problem they might be able to make an exception - they are all very nice people and Dr B is just exceptional! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

yeah i think i have had appointments as late as 4:30.

i plan to do most of my monitoring in the city because that is where i work. his schedule is just about the ONLY thing that makes him more difficult than other REs, but as im sure you know, he is so completely worth it!!

good lucK!! i am almost done with the BCP portion of my IVF with him. i think i start stims next week. we can be cycle buddies!

I have gotten there at 5 after calling that I would be late. He waited and so did I at that point, but he is worth it.

Re: Working and IVF with Dr. B

Thanks everyone. It ended up working out, I had my mom come over and I left earlier. It did take me forever to get there, sat in traffic and when I got there on time I waited for an hour to see him. It was all worth it. I found out what he is going to do different this time around. He joked with my husband and made me feel so good. I love seeing him.
Thanks again.
