I made it through baby shower..
without once feeling upset or jealous. Its been so hard for me lately day to day but found myself happy to be the best Aunt I can be. When I was asked when are you having kids I just said " No, I don't think so". and like that end of conversation.
I still want a baby but I may have accepted my reality. Lets see if this lasts.

That takes a TON of strength!! 
I went to a family party yesterday and saw a cousin's 3 month old baby for the first time. I had to leave in the middle of it to cry in the car

I went to my cousin's 2nd b-day party and lo and behold another woman had her 8 week old with her.
Cute baby..I went through all of the emotions.

I hate that its a day to day ups and downs.
When I told my FIL that my moms going to be a granny, the next day he told DH that I looked sad afterwards. Sometimes its hard for me to avoid the emotions.

When my twin sister gave birth it was hard at first. But it got easier as the time went by. Now I am so in love with my 5 month old nephew and love being an aunt. I still have my days but not as much as before. Good luck. I hope it all works out.

yeah don't you wish it was that easy. Next time tell him its like you telling him not to scratch the boys. It's just not that easy  you have to put in their terms

good job!
i guess im used to being around babies and kids - most of my friends have them, are pregnant, having showers, or just had babies. for my close friends and family i dont get jealous of them at all though - i use it as motivation to remind me what my ultimate goal is!!
its when the "fringe friends" or relatives get pregnant on the first try or without trying that i feel like

I know how you feel. I went to a family party this weekend with a lot of people I have not seen in months and everyone asked me when is it my turn (my twin is pregnant). Some people I flat out said we are having problems thanks for asking. Maybe a little rude but I felt they were rude. It was mostly all men who asked me. Some I said oh just not yet we are waiting. After the 5th person that is when I said the other comment. It was so hard and I wanted to cry half the night.
