Stressing over this.....
I made a fake name in case there are people who can see this post that I don't want to see. I just accepted a part-time position. It is a part-time teaching position. It is a regular school calendar which means it will end in June. DH and I are ttc because we are getting older. I have figured out if we do become pregnant next month (because this month is already over) I would be due at the end of June. Now this is a big if but it is stressing me out. I hate to do this because it is a new job and I would work through the school year until I am due and come back next school year. I don't plan on being a SAHM. Do you think it looks bad getting pregnant for a part-time job (12 hours a week.) I feel I would rather try to have one now so if I can get a full-time job it won't be too much. If we skip this month ttc and we get pregnant the following month I would be due in July, which I wouldn't have to miss any work days. That is also a big if. I really don't want to skip a month in case we can get pregnant and it takes a few tries. Sorry I am rambling. I guess what I am really trying to say is we probably won't stop ttc but I am just afraid my job might get mad. Anyone been through this or know someone who has. TIA.

Re: Stressing over this.....
i really wouldnt stress over this. first off you would be due towards the end of the school year anyway. so why would they be mad at all?? second TTC and getting pregnant never take the amount of time that you think they will take. no need to stress now over something that has a 15-25% chance of actually happening (depending on your age).

Re: Stressing over this.....
I would try not to stress at all about this and go about your TTC plan as you planned in the first place. Don't put TTC on hold just because you think a few weeks is going to make a difference as far as your job goes once you are PG.
If you do get PG, it will be a blessing and wonderful and no one at your job will think anything else about it. Late June for a teacher will be perfectly fine timing, and they will be able to plan for it without a problem.
Don't stress!!!!!

Re: Stressing over this.....
I would not stress over it. They have to understand and it is the end of the year. And to add I know someone who got pregnant the first year of teaching in a school district and she had maternity leave before the end of the school year and still had a job the following year. Things happen.

Re: Stressing over this.....
Thank you for all of your comments. I just don't want to get a wrong impression when it is so hard to get a job these days. I think I just feel guilty accepting a job knowing I am ttc. I feel too sneaky about it. Haha Everyone made me feel better about it though. Thanks again.

If we stopped TTCing for every thing that came up, we'd never start!
