Re: Broccoli
Easiest is just to steam it and add a little lemon and pepper and kosher salt. Or cheese sauce. Or Buerre Blanc.
You can also saute with a little olive oil and garlic.
I love roasting it.
But my favorite way? Hayley's Burnt Broccoli
She's a genius.

Re: Broccoli
For a change from steaming or roasting it, sometimes I make a cold broccoli salad. its very simple and tasty. Let it cook in boiling water for 3 mins, you still want a crunch to it. Dice red pepper, red onion and toss it all together with Good seasons vinaigrette. Chill for a few hours.

Re: Broccoli
I mixed olive oil/garlic/salt/pepper and hot pepper flakes. and DH put it on the grill in a veggie basket. It came out soooo good...some pieces burnt alittle - it was crunchy but not under cooked

Re: Broccoli
i would usually saute it with olive oil, garlic and some chopped tomato (in the can is fine - 15 oz or whatever of the plain or tomato and basil mix) then season it with lots of red pepper flakes and S&P

Re: Broccoli
I like it in the oven with EVOO and salt.
Can be more than a side, but sauteed with EVOO, garlic, salt, pepper, parmesan cheese served over pasta.
Or sauteed with shrimp served over rice or cous cous.

Re: Broccoli
Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper and then roast in the oven for about 20 min. After you take it out, toss with a little more oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, pine nuts, and parmesan cheese. Yummy...
