Another crazy question....
If you take an OPK in the evening and get a + how do you know if wouldn't have been positive earlier in the day? Just thinking of the timing b/c they say 12-36 hrs from a + means ovulation but how do you know when that "12-34hrs" really began at the point you took the test?! Hope that makes sense!

I would think that's why there a window of when you will ovulate. The earlier your surge began, the sooner you will ovulate and vice versa. Either way, it's time to  !

I guess its best to take it first thing in the AM..so if its neg. then you try again in the afternoon. I dont know, I have never done it..Im just assuming that this might make sense

Essentially you dont know if it would have been positive earlier in the day. You could hit it at the beginning or the end of the surge, or any time in between. It's really just an estimate.
FYI - read the instructions before using the tests. alot of them say NOT to use FMU - as the lutenizing hormone is released later in the day so FMU wont have it.
