For those who have done back-to-back IUIs

When do you BD around the IUIs? We had one today and will go for another tomorrow morning. We did not BD before, but I’m wondering if we should BD tonight. I don’t know how it will affect DHs count, if at all.

DH and I did not BD with back to back IUIs BUT I will say that the idea that a man's count goes down with every ejaculation is simply NOT a universal truth. We have done as many as 4 IUIs in one week and DH's count had actually risen. Unless there are male factor issues, try not to be too concerned about it.

Last time around we BD on Tuesday, then did IUI's on Thursday and Friday. DH's count were outstanding on both days.

Good thing you asked, I wasn't really sure when we should BD again. How are you feeling? I think I am being a big baby, but did it hurt?

We never BD in between b2b IUIs. We never had a sperm issue so we BD the night of the last IUI.

I'm feeling really good, thanks. It's my 4th round of IUIs so I'm used to them by now. I feel very bloated and have some cramping, but I think it's because I'm Oing. The IUI itself doesn't hurt at all and is over in like 60 seconds. Good luck!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks. Luckily, we do not have male factor issues. Last cycle DHs count was a little lower the second day of IUI, but not enough to be significant at all. I guess our bases are really covered anyways with the IUI.

We were always told not to BD from the trigger until after the 2nd b2b IUI. We have no male factor issues and this is still what we were told. We got a BFP on the 3rd medicated IUI cycle.
