If you have 10,000 lifetime for IF treatments
Does it mean that you have $10,000 for IUI and IVF or it includes everything related to IF (such as dr visits, blood tests, u/s, etc)?

for me it means everything besides meds. BUT ask the office if they can file it under treatment for PCOS or something NOT infertility. for me that worked and even though i have been seeing an RE for 10 months, i still have my full $30k available for IVF. im afraid the insurance company will figure it out, but so far so good!! good luck!!

Wow you have great coverage! I think i have 15K lifetime benefit and the charges didnt start Until i did IVF. But they told me that amount would only cover one fresh and maybe one frozen

Re: If you have 10,000 lifetime for IF treatments
That's what it meant for me, minus the meds. That, I only paid the co-pays for, under the perscription plan.
I don't think the $$ runs out as fast as you think. It's weird as, if they take your insurance, the Dr. will accept what they're paid. If you pay out of pocket, you pay nearly 4x's the amount
My first IVF cycle came to about $3K of insurance $$. On the 2nd one, which was after a Frozen cycle, I still had $7K left. Again, if I paid out of pocket, it would've been like $17K for the entire process!!??

15k might cover more than that. Dr. B said my $30k (and this is a direct quote) would cover "a few IVFs for me, and some for my friends" . i think its cause the insurance company's "negotiated" rates are a lot lower than the actual out of pocket cost for IVF. i was really nervous that $30k wouldnt get me too far, but Dr. B said its not a concern AT ALL
