gynecologist or physician who do you see?

Ok, this may be a very stupid question, but...

When you are pregnant you obviously see your gynecologist right? Now, lets say you get sick during your pregnancy, yknow, could be something as simple as a cold. Do you see the gynecologist or your regular physician?

ETA: Ok, so basically you would see the gyno if its baby related right? but if its related to youself you would see your physican?

your regular physician... they would know what is safe to give a preggo...

i would think your physician, and be sure to let them know ur preggo so they dont give you anything your not suppose to

Yeah.... you have to see the gyno every few weeks anyway... but if your going because something unrelated to the pregnancy then just your reg doc...

all things related to you ie: sore throat, cold, pink eye, rash, you see your reg doc... but lets say you have sharp pain by your right ribs or something.. youwould see your OB, or if you feel pressure or tightening in your stomach or something along those lings you would see your OB... at 10 weeks i had an awful gut wrenching (literally) virus violently vommiting and diarrhea (sorry tmi) i called OB because i wanted to make sure i didnt need to go to ER or something for IV hydration of if therewas something i needed to do.
