What are you cutting back on (fianances related)
What are you (if anything) cutting back on to save money for when LO arrives? Im trying to just stop buying unnecessary things.. I dont normally go out and spend lots of money on clothes, purses, shoes etc...I tend to buy stupid little things that eventually add up to a lot of $$$. Im going to stop doing that lol. Also, we are going to cut down on eating out. We only really eat out once a week (restaurant style) but we occ. buy McDonalds or something else that is fast food during the week. Im def. going to stop that.
ETA: I am also going to cut back on buying make up. I am def. obessed with make up! and although its all drugstore brands I find that I spend waaaay too much money on this.

Monthly spa membership
Will stop buying lunch everyday
DH & I will cut our nights & events out w/friends from a few times a week to 3 or 4 times a month.
I'm not a big spender on stuff for myself BUT I tend to spoil my nephews & nieces....I feel bad but that is going to be cut out
We have EVERY cable channel.....we will be getting rid of those.
Cutting out magazine memberships
I am going to stop getting fake nails and just stick to regular mani & pedis.....(the days of $40 blueberry pedis are gone & over w/)
Thats all I can think of right now

Its hard isnt it? but well worth it in the long run. I forgot, I too will be cutting back on buying lunch at work. DH and I both have started bringing out own lunch to work for the last month and trust me, it does save money.

We're eating out much less and when we do, I'm the Coupon Queen! I think I get emails now from every restaurant we go to --we try to pick the place based on who has a deal that week.

I do the same thing! We always eat out based on what coupon I have

I'm doing something new which has worked really well since I spend way too much on DS. I take out a certain amount of money in cash a week and leave my CC at home. It's our "allowance."
DS is starting to understand "expensive."
It's amazing how much I spent on nonsense before...
I also use Quicken on my Mac to track bills etc. We went from barely making it to two+ weeks ahead in our bills in a month and that's with a cut in our salary! I want to be 3 months ahead so I can take at least a 3 month maternity leave if we get PG again.

Wow, thats amazing and really inspiring. I love hearing stories like this because it makes me believe that it is possible to have a baby (or two) even if financially its hard. You just have to put things in order and plan accordingly.
