those trying for #2 whos dc is under 2
do you ever feel like your going to take away from your 1st dc?... I want to comit whole heartedly to ttc for #2.... my heart says go for it you know you can do this.. and my head is saying abbys still a "baby" give her a little more time. (start trying in dec)
theres a few factors... i have 2 weddings im in next year july9th and oct 9th i wouldnt mind at all being a bit preggo for them just dont want to deliver on the dance floor where if we get preggo now i would have this baby way before any of those weddings even start. the other thing is we had a fam trip to disney planned for january and if i were to get preggo now i most lilkely will not be able to fly and go to disney because of my previous history with being preggo. But i know im ready for this baby i know that it would be a great thing i just cant help but have those bits of doubt.. dh is on board for whatever it is i want to do... i just dont know!

Re: those trying for #2 whos dc is under 2
I understand how you feel. I put off TTC for over a year due to various things. And Honestly I can say I dont regret it.
Yes I felt it was important to ME to spend one on one time with DS. I could have handled 2 under 2 but I felt like he is only this little once I didnt want to share myself with anyone else.
We took DS to Storyland, Disney, Hershey, Sesame Place. And they are great memories. We are planning another Disney trip this fall, and I know this is our last family vacation for another year or 2 and I am okay with that now.
Based on what you said, I wouldnt want to have to miss my DS (or your DDs) trip to disney, so why not wait to TTC until the fall. In the grand scheme of things a few months doesnt mean much except it could mean you missing out on Disney (which I know isnt the end of the world but still)
I will say now that I am TTC and DS will be 3.5 when #2 comes around (depending on when I get my BFP) I am happy I waited. DS is so independent, he has no jealous when he sees me with other babies, he loves babies and wants to take care of them. So I know he is ready to be a big brother.
I also want to say like you I wavered and wavered and then one day it was like the switch was turned on and I was READY 100%, there was no doubt in my mind it was time.
GL!

I feel the same way. Lauren is my little baby girl, we do everything together and i feel like i will be taking that away from her because when the new one comes there won't be simple trips to her favorite places or playtime with mommy, she will have to share me. At least I will have 9 months to prepare me and her for it.

My DS is 18 months now. I was a bit apprehensive about it, but I want the kids to be fairly close in age. It might be hard in the beginning, but once you get into a routine it'll be fine and it will be nice when the kids grow up together.
