I would do it for about the 14th or so. Somewhere around 2 weeks before. 3 weeks is ok too of you send them out early enough.

It depends on the location and how far ahead to you have to give a head-count for the place? I would make it 1-2 weeks before the date of the shower.

I would make it two weeks before.
eta then give it two(ish) days for the late responses. Then you have time to call those that did not respond and get your head count in on time without having to be pressured and freak out.

I would give yourself 3 weeks so you give yourself enough time to call those who do not RSVP. Sounds like the same routine as my wedding

I would give 3 weeks during the summer months - also so you have extra time to track down anyone who does not rsvp
