Question for those that had chemical pregnancies

I'm thinking this may have happened to me...I tested and got really dark BFP's and then I started getting BFN's...BUT I still haven't gotten my period yet..so I was thinking if I did have a chemical wouldn't my period have started early, or would it come on time???

I believe AF was a few days to maybe about a week late for me when I had the chemical. Sorry! I hope this is not the case for you!!

I got a few BFPs, made a doctor's appt., etc and then a few days later started to spot and took another test and got a BFN. AF was about 5-6 days late. I hope this helps. Good luck with everything

i had two chemicals.
on the beta was really low, never got an HPT BFP, but did get a positive blood HCG. i bled a few days later, the same day as the second beta that came back at 1. i was 18DPO when AF arrived.

second chemical beta was way higher. got lots of +HPTs, but found out via bloodwork that the beta wasnt rising enough. i miscarried on 23DPO, which would have been 5w2d. but i knew i was going to m/c due to the betas not rising.

is AF late at this point?

I stopped testing after I got 2 BFP's - I took the tests 2 days apart, and the second line was def lighter than the first. I started to bleed 4 or 5 days later.

for a chemical you dont always get AF right away. the HCG usually goes down to around 0 before you start bleeding.

are you sure you got positive tests? i remember seeing some posts about testing really early and evap lines - was that you? or did you get very clearly obvious BFPs? if you did it def sounds like a chemical. you should call your doctor for a beta to confirm.

It's natural to want to test early...it's something we all want so badly so how could you wait! I know I can't.....I'm sorry it didn't work out for you this month, but it will very shortly! Hang in there and keep us posted!

it was def BFP's I've taken the same type of tests now with not a hint of a positive..I also had a positive on a FRER.... I don't want to take another FRER bc I just don't want to keep wasting them....I thought they were evaps until I saw the FRER....I'm going to see if I get AF by Friday if not I'm calling the dr to see me next week...

honestly, there is no reason to wait to call the doctor at this point. you should have a beta done now to confirm if there is HCG in your system. thats the only way to confirm a chemical. if you wait to get AF it will be too late for bloodwork to matter.

thats only if you want to confirm what sounds like a chemical.

sorry you are going through this, chemicals suck!!
