one ovary responding better than the other
I asked the doc this morning why one ovary is responding better to follistim than the other, and he really didn't have an answer for me. I was okay with that, I guess, but now I am stressing. It looks like ER on Saturday... I hope the right one catches up with the left!
Has this happened to anyone before?

My RE made a comment like that during my last IUI  but then I finally produced a follie from the "lazy" ovary as well  Good Luck!!!

My right ovary has no function at all now and I only ovulate on my left side. I'm sure that's age-related though.

Although last time I got one out of the left one.

this happened to me as well. my right ovary produced about 12 follies and only 3 from the left. not sure why this happens. the left did catch up a little and there were 5 by the time of ER. i did feel very lopsided though, lol.

I was a slow responder on the right last time and it finally caught up but only 2 on the right and 2 on the left. Dont sweat it. you will be ok dont feel bad. Sometimes these docs make us feel so horrible.

I actually am in the same boat as you. My right ovary seems to produce follicle (notice I said it with singular) whenever it feels like it. I always product more on the left than right. There will be times where there is no activity on the right. I have asked my dr the same question and i never got a definite answer.
I have heard that people with back injury in the past may need to seek chiropractic session to help increase the blood flow that the side that is impacted. I'm not sure how true that is..........
For me, I did have injury to my lower back when i was young and coincidentally, it's on my right side that is quiet........who knows.........
