Re: cbefm users????
I have it too.
Once you get AF, you have until CD 5 to set it for that cycle. Hold done the "m" button and release it when it flashes whatever cycle day you are on (1,2,3,4 or 5).
***Make sure you set it for a time in the morning that you will be somewhat consisten in waking up at. You have a 6 hour window to test - 3 hours before you set it, and 3 hours after. For example, I wake up at 5:30 during the week, but not that late on the weekends. I set my CBEFM at 8am each month. That way I have from 5am to 11am to test. Understand?
On CD 6 it will ask you for your first stick. As soon as you wake up BEFORE you go to the bathroom, turn on the monitor and it will flash with the insert stick symbol. It will turn off after 15 seconds but its ok bc it will just ask you for the stick each time you turn it on until you insert it. Pee on the stick with your FMU - or into a cup and dip the stick. THen turn the monitor on and insert it. Wait until it flashes with the "remove stick" icon. If you leave it and come back later, the monitor will have turned off. Simply turn it back on and it will ask you to remove the stick, at which point it will display your Cycle Day on the right and what level fertility you are at on the left - Low, High or Peak.
Keep testing every morning with FMU. It doesn't matter if it's the same time every day, so long as you are within your 6 hour window and you are using FMU. Eventually it will read "high" fertility (2 bars) and then a few days later you will hit the "peak". You will peak for 2 days and then it will drop to high after the 2nd peak day. Then it will no longer ask for sticks and you will be in the 2ww.
If AF arrives (hopefully not), then you start over and set the monitor again. If AF starts late in the day, don't set it until the next day as CD2 because like I mentioned, you need to set it in the morning so that you can use FMU.
If you have any other questions feel free to FM me. I've been using it for 7 months (which is why I am now going to an RE). I've heard typically people get PG within 2-4 months of using it, everything else aside.

Re: cbefm users????
To reset for memory reset... The other poster is talking about resetting to use every month after AF and a new cycle.
You will need a new stick.
•Step1 Remove the plastic cap from one end of a clean, unused test stick. Snap the cap onto the other end of stick. Insert the test stick into the test stick slot of the monitor. The beveled corner on the insertion end of the stick must face in toward the monitor, with the point up - slide the stick to the left until it snaps into place. THE STICK MUST SNAP INTO PLACE TO PERFORM PROPERLY. The monitor should not be turned on until step 2.
•Step 2 Press and hold down the "M" button. Continue depressing the "M" button while turning the monitor ON. NOTE: Do not take finger off the "M" button until these directions say to do so in STEP 5.
•Step 3 The screen will show the "remove the test stick" symbol (a flashing test stick with an arrow pointing to the right). Continue holding the "M" button down - do NOT remove the stick yet.
•Step 4 Keep holding the "M" button and in about 20 seconds you will see a screen full of symbols. These are the same symbols that are displayed when the brand new monitor is turned on for the FIRST time. These symbols indicate that the memory is now cleared of all prior data.
•Step 5 Remove the test stick first and then QUICKLY release your finger from the "M" button. The memory should now be cleared.
•Step 6 Your screen should now display a flashing "M" and one or two dashes. If it does not, it will probably show a "1" and an "M" in a non-flashing mode. If so, you will need to repeat all steps of the process. This procedure may take several times before you successfully reset the unit to its "new" state.
•Step 7 Start using the monitor on CD 1 to 5 as per the instruction booklet.
