What to hang over my bed???
We just painted our room- a robin's egg blue color. We have yellowish gold, blue and white in the room-the furniture is painted white, a shabby chic look. I need something to hang over my bed. We do not have a headboard and its looking kinda plain! We also need a rug, I was thinking yellow/gold for the rug or even blue and yellow together. Everything I have seen is way expensive in terms or rugs. Any suggestions?

i saw a beautiful mirror in homegoods the other day
i love the shabby chic look myself, and it had blue and silver like mosaic arouns the mirror. it was beautiful and around 30 i think.

I have a huge mirror above our bed, we have a small room in our apartment and it really adds depth and makes the room look bigger. I got it at Homegoods for about $30!

We have giant tin ceiling tiles to creat a "headboad" look. All from Home goods.

Thanks for all the ideas. We do have a white iron wall hanging that would look great in the space but it is so heavy we were afraid to hang it over our bed!  That's all I need to have that thing come down on my head while I am sleeping. I am exploring the idea of a mirror.

But seriously, you should check out jcpenney.com in their home store. They have so many nice things that they are reasonable.
I have this above my bed. My walls are a med green color called Dill Weed but my other color is that robin's egg blue. I love this set, it looks beatiful on the wall and has interesting shape and texture.
