What can I hang over my bed?
Since I have that window there I'm not sure what I can put up that won't look weird since it will be off-center. Any ideas?
Don't mind the lamp shade. I just bought the comforter set so I haven't had a chance to get a new one yet.

We had a similiar set up but just recently closed the window that was there and put in an air condiioner so it will still be off center but I plan to put up the sign LIVE LAUGH LOVE and use a picture from our wedding for laugh, a picture of our newborn baby for love and then we are going to figure out what to put up for live.
I think if you put up a 11x14 picture and hang it longwaise it would look good.

you can add a ledge or 2 (staggered) and place pics on them. here is a pic of what i have over the bed.
eta: can you place the bed elsewhere in the room? maybe on an angle in a corner?

Shew, do you have a window on the right side of your bed? I love what you did in your room. It gives me an idea for our room. We have the same problem as the original poster.

I can't really move the bed. It's a king size and my room isn't that big. Plus there is another oddly placed window on the other wall and a closet on the other.

I would do something like this..... The first pic will make the bed the center of the room and even hide some of the window. The second pic is less dramatic but will still work. Then, you could add something like pic #3 on the wall Image Attachment(s):

I was thinking some vinyl lettering as the PP posted...You could get a saying and make it as big or small as you like, and have it justified in such a way that it will work in that space and not look awkward...
I have a great vendor if you need one...

I would center it over the bed. Especially since you have a defined center on the bed frame.

I have windows above my bed, but I've always wanted one of those "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" signs. You could put your wedding picture or other piece of art. Center it over the bed.

you could play off the window frame and do some framed photos with white borders like the window staggered around it.

I've also seen them do on HGTV when they've had a wall with one window or some other window issue, that they put a up curtain panels across the whole wall.
so you could get a long curtain rod (not sure what the fancy ones are called LOL) and then hang curtains as if there was another window on the other side of your bed.
OR,
you could get a very luxe kind of roman shade, and then maybe frame tapestries similar like I was saying above..ie
window=roman shade with while trim/frame
above bed= similarly colored/textured tapestry in white frame, similarly sized.
opposite side" same as above bed.
so you are evening out the wall by creating symmetry.

Shew, do you have a window on the right side of your bed? I love what you did in your room. It gives me an idea for our room. We have the same problem as the original poster.
so not feng shui but the bed is actually on the same wall as the door. from this angle, door is to the right of the headboard. there are windows across from the bed. you can see the sunlight on the bed reflecting in through the blinds.
here is a pic from another angle. can see the door to the right of the bed.
