orchids?

do they go through a dormid phase? for some reason, mine has been dropping all of its flowers. it isnt too dry or too wet and gets enough light

I think dropping flowers is normal. I have one, too, and it finished dropping everything a few weeks ago. A few people told me to cut the stem back above a node and that in several weeks (or maybe months, as it's looking) it will grow and bloom again. I'm skeptical - I accept in advance that I may have ruined my orchid.
