Does anyone else have....
a tilted or tipped cervix? Years ago I was told by my OB/GYN that I had this. When I asked she told me it should not in anyway affect my chances of getting pregnant. I was curious if anyone else has this and have you found it to be anymore difficult getting pregnant?

Re: Does anyone else have....
Crashing! I have a retroverted uterus (tilted), and had no trouble at all--I got pregnant right within the 2nd month of trying. My doctor said that some complications can come up because of it, but they are SO RARE and do not harm the baby, so she's not even going to go into it unless I start showing symptoms in my 3rd trimester. HTH!

I've heard that certain positions during sex can be helpful for those people with tipped cervixes. Did you dr say anything to you about that? I'm going to see mine in a few days so I am going to ask when I see her (but hopefully by then I'll already have my BFP!)

I also have a tipped uterus. My problem with getting PG was not Oing. Once I went on Clomid and O'd I got PG the first cycle. So it didn't effect me!

Re: Does anyone else have....
I have a tilted uterus. Found out when we were getting ready to TTC #1. My midwife informed me (sorry for tmi) doggy style would be the best way for me to get pregnant because the sperm would be deposited right at the base of my cervix. With that the little boogers don't have far to go to meet the egg. Well on month 3 it worked for us! My midwife said women with a tilted cervix can actually get pregnant easier if they know about it.
And it didn't have any affect on my pregnancy. As I progressed in my pregrancy the uterus pushed forward and wound up correcting itself. Once I delivered it went back to the way it originally was.
HTH!

Re: Does anyone else have....
I believe that all women have somewhat of a tilted cervix. But some, myself included, tilt towards the back rather than the front. I agree with PPers though that it shouldnt affect conception. And my ob/gyn also said that it will usually correct itself during pregnancy or childbirth.

I read the same thing about "doggy style" helping women with tilted cervixes get pregnant. We are trying that so hopefully that'll do the trick! Thanks for the info!
