Dr B
Hello For the girls who see him how long were you TTC before calling him? Also, what is the deal with insurance?
I am going to wait a few more cycles but I will look into this sooner if it is covered.
Does Dr. B take on any patient or does there have to be a specific reason why you should see him?
I did have an unexplained m/c a few months ago so maybe I should call now?
Please give me some info on this. Thanks!!!!!

Re: Dr B
I had only been trying just under 3 months when I saw him- but I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 yrs prior.. so I knew I was going to have issues. When I went off the pill, I never ovulated/got AF.. I didn't want to waste any time and Dr.B agreed and said it was great I came when I did!! It then took 3 medicated IUI cycles to get a BFP and I'm due in January.

i was TTC for 6 months before calling him. i realized i wasnt ovulating and i didnt want to wait any longet. it was the best decision i have made so far in the journey.
he takes any patient, you dont need a specific reason to go to him, just a desire to get pregnant after trying unsuccessfully. there is no time minimum that you have to be trying. having a past m/c is good enough reason.
he takes most insurances but it depends whether or not your insurance covers infertility. mine didnt at first so i paid out of pocket. then i figured out that if they filed the claims under the code for PCOS and not for fertility, most of my appointments would be covered (meds still were not). now i have better insurance and pretty much everything is covered. you should look at your individual plan and see what is covered for infertility. then call his office and see if they take your plan - although i havent heard of any plan that he doesnt accept. he also does a great job of working around insurance issues and money concerns and will build your protocol as cost effectively as possible. he is NOT one of those doctors that just does the most expensive thing or unnecessary testing just so he could get paid. he is exactly the opposite.
good luck! dr. b is one of my favorite people! he is amazing!
