what wall color?
I'm at a loss. I decided to rip the old 1980 tile off my bathroom wall without a plan.
We are listing our house soon, so this will be an inexpensive project. I'm leaving the floor tile, while I hated it before, I will regrout and now that the wall tile (gray and pink "splatter") is gone, I don't mind the floor as much.
I found a tile at HD that "works" with it, but now I'm at a loss for wall color. I feel white would be too medicinal? but welcome any thoughts. (although I'm not a pastel person)
Also, will this be too "modern" for buyers?

If you don't want to do white - how about a steel blue color?
It's too modern for my taste - any way you can get a more traditional looking vanity? Even a black wood one would be better - I think - for buyers.

Way too modern for my taste. I think it's very buyer specific which may not be a good thing. I'd go more transitional then modern. Can you do a pedestal sink??

thanks for the advice. The only reason I was leaning towards that vanity, is b/c it's the size we need and in stock. anything else will be custom, but I guess I should look into other options.
I need 39-42"

Yeah - after I suggested the black vanity I looked around (I figured you needed a big guy) and all the prices I saw were around $700.
Maybe just a plain white one? You could prob get away with white, no?
This one's 36" in white - $329.

Question- did you rip off the old tiles yourself? How did that work out? We are going to redo our powder room, which has very old tile. Is it doable without damaging the sheetrock?

well, we took out the old vanity and it is 80's formica and had a slant to it...the slant started at 42 and went to 46. We think we can get away with a 48" vanity. So that will open a lot more doors.
I really like this, but it's $800 + vanity top.
or the cheap solution? (350)
does having 4 drawers make a difference with the original choice?
thanks again for looking - I really need to see this in the eye of the buyer

I did. I found out today (found an old newspaper in the wall!) that it was redone in 1988. I thought it was older.
the tile came off really easy. I took a utility knife and scraped out the old grout (it only took 4-5 scrape downs) and the tiles came off mostly easy (I did use a putty knife to ease them off)
the wall was left with tons of glue (not mortor) I was able to peel it off mostly and used some joint compound to patch up places that didn't come off neatly (no chucks, just some tearing of the top layer of dry wall). At first I was overwhelmed, but now I'm feeling better (but ask me again when I tackle the shower tile!)

Def go with the cheap solution... No sense spending that kind of money. Just going by the tile you picked out - your bathroom is going to look awesome.
