Does your DH smoke?

We're going to start TTC next month and a while back my DH said he was going to quit smoking...but hasn't. Now everytime he lights up it drives me crazy and all I can think of is his sperm count going down...does anyone else have this issue?

Yup...majorly and hasn't quit and we have a DD already and now hoping to try for a 2nd

Yup! I am also a social smoker. We both said that once I get my BFP we are quitting. I got my BFP over the weekend and have not smoked since but my DH is another story. He doesn't smoke at home. He only smokes in his car to/from work, occasionally during the work day and in social settings.

I quite 1 year ago. DH had originally quit for 5 months but started up again just as we were getting really serious about TTC

Let me tell you from a lot of experience with this issue - try not to obsess over it. He def should try to quit, but you getting angry and pushing him about it will only stress you both out. DH and I had gotten into MANY fights over this b/c I was SO frusturated that I was making all of these changes in my life to accomodate TTC, and he was working backwards. In the end, he knows he needs to quit and he wants to but it's something he needs to do on his own.

Also, I was really concerned about his SA but it came back totally fine. I was half disappointed ONLY bc I knew if it came back with any issues he DEFINITELY would have quit on the spot. Sometimes I think that they just need a jolt.

YES!

I've never smoked. But DH smokes and he keeps talking about quitting... and on occasion he does quit for a little while. but he always goes back to it.

And with TTC and the issues we are having right now.. I get angry that he still lights up. I instantly think of his sperm when he smokes!!

Now that they are about $13 a pack and going up to about $15 a pack in Sept... there's even more reason to quit for him.

DH does not smoke cigarettes but he does smoke cigars...not a lot though. He smokes one every week or 2. A bit more in the summer months. I never really thought about thi being a possible issue.
