Just got Cablevision and 2 out of the 3 boxes are broken!
We just moved into our house this week and Cablevision came out to install internet and cable on Wednesday. We got two older boxes and one new one. Well, Friday morning, one of the old boxes doesn't work at all, won't turn on, no time, etc. Called them, they were nice and came out that day and replaced the box with a newer one. Well, today we hooked up the last tv and guess what, that other old box doesn't work either! At least this one turns on but we only get half the channels, the other ones don't come in. We called, were on hold for a half hour, got someone and they need to send someone out again... this is ridiculous.
Anyone else have Cablevision problems like this?

reasons like these are why we switched and havent had problems since.

Yeah, when we first moved it happened with one box
We are moving tomorrow and will be without cable/internet until Friday - that is the soonest they would send someone

Last time my parents got one replaced, the DVR had porn saved on it!!  My mom went to look at her DVRd shows and low and behold...

Yes! The box in bedroom has been changed 3 times in a year  They gave us different reasons why it didn't work each times. NOT to mention that you have to be home all day long waiting for them to show up & twice the guy came late & we had to go to work.
Cablevision has been such a hassle. When they lost ABC we were supposedly allowed to watch free on demand movies however none of them worked.
I can go on & on but we don't get FIOS (only dish) in our area so we are stuck.
