White or Off White/Ivory Kitchen Cabinets?
I keep flip-flopping. Can you tell me which color is associated with or best suited to a particular kind of style?
ETA: The off white is a laminate, solid color, not a distressed white on wood...if that makes a difference.

I'm voting white, only because I had off white in my old house and found it very hard to decorate around (paint, mouldings, etc.). But I do love the look if you can get it all to coordinate together.

I really do like both. I would say that White is more Transitional or Modern and Off White is more French Country. Check out CaMacho for white cabinets and check out Jenn627 for off white cabinets. It all depends on the look you want in the room. GL!

I normally prefer off white, but if they are both laminate and non distressed - I'll vote for white. The laminate is kind of a more modern feel and the crisp white is better for that look. The ivory may wind up looking just dirty with a laminate cabinet.

Totally agree with JldDolphin's description of the color/style and Rojerono's opinion that the off-white in a laminate may look dirty.
So I vote white.

I think you should go with the color you find more appealing to your eye and go from there. I don't agree that color dictates the style, there is so much more at play... cabinet door style, trim work, hardware, backsplash, countertop, fixtures... all these things contribute to the style of a kitchen and I think you can do a modern or french country etc. with either color.

I like both....I love distressed ivory cabinets and I also love the crisp bright white look...
What style goes with the house? Your decor? Your style?
Either way I am jealous, I loooooooove white kitchens!
