C25K Ladies & this heat

I just can't do it & I don't have a treadmill or belong to a gym. Did anyone run in this heat? I'm afraid I'd honestly pass out Chat Icon

ETA- I am happy to say that I DID IT Chat Icon Week 5 Day 2, complete without dying of heat exhaustion!!! Chat Icon

You can:

take a few days off and pick up where you left off.

take a few days off and repeat the last week you did.

do an alternative (ie: I just did jump rope in my a/c living room. It got my heart pumping, that's for sure!)

Go out early or late.

Go out and just do easy intervals, like 1 minute running, 1 walking, for 20 minutes.

If you do go out, bring water and read your body.

When I first started C25K, I did it in July at 2 pm. Looking back, I was crazy. But I think the walk breaks made it easy.

I've been running at 5:30 AM. It's been tough getting up that early, but I really want to get through this.

I went out last night my normal time - after DH gets home from work around 8:15pm. It really wasn't that bad....and that's saying a LOT from me. I'm anti summer & heat!Chat Icon

Great job!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

My treadmill is actually in my garage, facing out, right at the door. I have a fan on me at all times (which does nothing anyway! Chat Icon ) and I open a side entrance that is there as well. I drink at least 1 and 1/2 bottles of water during my workout and I am dying of heat when I am done. I do it as early as I can- usually around 7am. I did have to do it at 12pm last week when DD#1 woke up too early, and I thought I was gonna DIE!! Chat Icon
