I just learned... is this true?
I just learned that EWCM IS NOT a required indicator of O and that a lot of women DO not get EWCM and still O Does this make sense?In other words, you can not solely rely on O and +OPK to see if you O. That is you can have -OPK and no EWCM, but still O I think i confused myself at this point

Absolutely true!..............well, kinda. You will have EWCM prior to ovulation but not everyone actually sees it. Sometimes it's high up by your cervix and doesn't make its way out. I've had cycles where I never noticed EWCM but I did ovulate. Also, certain fertility meds, such as Clomid, will hinder your EWCM production.
EDIT - Also, just because you get a peak or positive reading with an OPK it doesn't mean you will actually ovulate. OPK's simply detect the LH surge, not actual ovulation. Therefore, you can technically surge but your egg never releases. I've had it happen to me.

well, i am the opposite. I have never seen a + OPK ( digital , FMU) for the last 3 months that we TTC, but now I am thinking that i can not 100% say that I did not O just based on never seeing a +OPK.

The month I got pregnant with DD I had a little CM, thought *maybe* I was ovulating (I have PCOS). A few months back I swore I was ovulating (loads of CM), and I had a 4 cm cyst

For me, I never notice EWCM, but I know for a fact I ovulate pretty consistently on CD13. My DC#1 is good proof of that

My body NEVER did the things that everyone said it was supposed to. i just temped to make sure I was Oing and BD'd in the middle of the month. I was pretty much flying blind.
